About Us:
B.N.M Educational Institutions was established by the Trust M/s. Bhageerathi Bai Narayana Rao Maanay Charities. It was started in the year 1972. The Managing Trustee Shri. N Raghunath Rao Maanay along with the sincere and dedicated efforts of Prof. Sunanda P Jadhav the first Secretary and Principal founded the institution with a focused vision to impart value based quality Education irrespective of Social, Financial or Religious status. Prof. Sunanda P. Jadhav made efforts to provide education at affordable cost especially to the girl child and her unstinted vision has yielded highly commendable results.

From a humble beginning the BNM group of Educational Institutions are now leaders of repute in the field of Education, providing the most modern methods while maintaining the rich cultural heritage of a great Indian tradition.

Education starts at BNM offering Montessori system to Tiny Tots at the tender age of two and half years in the BNM Montessori House. Established in 1988 Datta Meghe College of Engineering is one of the reputed institutions in Navi Mumbai under the umbrella of Nagar Yuwak Shikshan Santhas, Airoli. The tremendous growth of the college within a span of 16 years depicts the sincerity and hardship of the management and the staff. The institute is spread over a large area with laboratories and lecture wing. The institute is bifurcated into two blocks, the classrooms block and the administrative cum laboratory block.

Initially we started with nominal intake of 120 students, today we have an intake of 510 students each year.

With the struggle and hard work of the students, the enthusiastic guidance from the teachers and the blessings of the management, today we have several students appearing in the merit list and more than 68 students name appearing in the distinction list of Mumbai University.

We also encourage our students in interacting with the industry, by attending expert lectures, field/industrial visits, etc. We also have departmental associations for the students.

Government College of Technology, Coimbatore

The Government College of Technology, Coimbatore formerly known as the Arthur Hope College of Technology, was started in July 1945 in accordance with the general policy of the then Government of Madras to give high priority to technical education under the post-war reconstruction schemes in order to meet the demand for trained engineers for various industrial and development projects in the State and the rest of India. The offer of the premises including offices and portions of the workshop and Hostel of the National Electric Works free of rent for a period of three years together with a donation of Rs. 2,00,000 by the well-known industrialist and philanthropist of Coimbatore the Late G.D. Naidu, enabled the college to be started in July 1945. The College was afterwards shifted to the present permanent site of about 45 hectares on the Thadagam Road in June 1950.

The main building of the College was formally opened by Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the then Vice President of India on 8th October 1959 .The Syllabus for Engineering Studies was revised and the five – year Semester System was introduced from the academic year 1968 – 69.The three-year B.E. Degree course for B.Sc., graduates was introduced in the year 1963-64 in Civil and Mechanical Engineering branches but was subsequently abolished. A new, branch in Electronics and Communication Engineering was started in the academic year 1970 – 71.

Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering for women was established in June 2000. Subsequently, we got recognition from AICTE, which is the statutory body controlling technical education in India, and the Government of Maharashtra. This is, in a way, an acknowledgement of the excellent educational facilities and modern infrastructure provided in our college. We have affiliation of the University of Pune, which has stringent measures of evaluation.

Our faculty includes experienced dedicated and highly qualified teachers. Electronics and Telecommunications (E & TC) Engineering is most versatile and popular discipline. The curriculum designed is a perfect blend of Electronics, Communication and Computing technologies. The budding graduates from this discipline have very good job opportunities in Very large scale Integration (VLSI )technologies, Embedded systems ,Signal processing , Radio Frequency (RF) communication , mobile communications and in Software Engineering. Department also runs a course of BE (Electronics) which was started in 2006-07.

The Electronics and Telecommunication department at Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology is one of the best and largest departments with its investment in equipments over Rs.2.82 crore, excellent infrastructural facilities with 5 classrooms with LCD, OHP projection facilities, 11 laboratories and other amenities along with departmental library. Highly qualified faculty is the major strength of the department. Presently department has 5 professors with PhD degree, 17 Assistant Professors out of which 7 are pursuing PhD and 17 lectures. 90 % staff members are post graduates degrees.
