Andhra Vidyalaya Education Society is one of the oldest and pioneer educational society in the erstwhile Nizam’s state of Hyderabad. The society was started in 1944 (Reg.No.7/52) with an objective to extend educational opportunities to backward sections of the region, who were deprived of basic education during the despotic rule of Nizam.

The name of the game in business today is personnel. you can’t hope to show a good financial or operating report unless your personnel relations are in order, no matter what kind of company it is. One of the important duties of the modern manager is to get things done through people. He has to acquire right kind of people for right kind of job at right time.

Several eminent personalities are associated with the management of the institution since inception. Presently the college committee consists of several outstanding academicians, jurists, civil servants and distinguished men of public life.

Thiagarajar College was founded in 1949, in the pilgrim city of Madurai, by Kalaithanthai Karumuttu Thiagarajan Chettiar, one of the visionaries of South India in the 20th century. Formally opened on 12th October 1949 by his excellency , the king of Bhavanagar, the then Governor of Madras State, the College is 57 years young.
